The ultra-modern Tomassen Duck-To slaughterhouse is the heart of the company. Well-trained, HACCP-certified employees as well as advanced machinery and transport systems guarantee quality throughout the slaughtering process.
Optimal hygiene and animal welfare are central during slaughter. Fully automatic pickers remove most of the feathers, with a wax bath to finish the job. Organs are clearly visible after the animal is sliced open using machinery, which is the best time to carry out individual quality checks. Any waste is removed, fully automatically.
The slaughterhouse is under constant supervision by an independent representative from the NVWA Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority).
